[Altoona, PA, February 27, 2023] – Reliance Bank is relocating its corporate headquarters to the newly redeveloped office building, The Mill, located at 2400 Eighth Avenue in Altoona. The move into the mixed-use center will help the Bank expand its services and address key staffing needs in Central Pennsylvania.
“The Mill is centrally located in an area primed for growth,” says Reliance Bank CEO Phil Freeman. “We want to be a part of that growth.”
The Mill offers 100,000 square feet for office, restaurant, retail, and residential space. Reliance Bank will utilize approximately 20,000 square feet of that space for its corporate headquarters.
Reliance Bank’s corporate offices are currently located in Downtown Altoona at 1119 12th Street. The financial institution has been operating out of the 12th Street location since 1953.
“We’ve been in this building a long time, but it no longer meets our needs,” says Freeman. “We are looking for a space better suited for the collaboration of our teams, and we believe The Mill will provide that.”
Reliance Bank is working with The Altoona Blair County Development Corporation to produce a plan for the future of 1119 12th Street. The bank’s goal is to ensure the building continues to serve a purpose in the revitalization of Downtown Altoona.
“This is great news, not only for Reliance Bank, but also for our entire First Frontier Blair County community. We look forward to welcoming the Reliance team to the newly revitalized Class A offices at the Mill while launching another revitalization project at their current building,” says The Corporation President and CEO, Steve McKnight.
While corporate offices may be moving, the Bank is committed to serving customers in downtown Altoona with plans to relocate the 12th Street branch to 1300 11th Avenue, an area with a larger retail presence and higher foot traffic.
“We’ve always been downtown,” says Freeman. “We will always remain downtown.”
