Since 1984 Kunzler & Co. in Tyrone, Blair County, PA has been literally bringing home or rather making the bacon as well as other fine meat products. ABCD Corporation (ABCD) has proudly partnered with Kunzler on several expansion projects in the past and is excited to be working with them once again on their current plans to expand their facilities and increase employment here in the First Frontier.
The current expansion plans represent a potential total project investment of $4million and the addition of 16 to 20 new jobs. “The expansion is needed for the bacon business. We are constantly taking on more and more volume. We will build an addition on the Tyrone side of the plant,” said Dave Grazier, Plant General Manager.
ABCD has been working with Dave and his team for the past two years following the expansion process and assisting with the environmental permitting process. Going forward ABCD will be helping Kunzler identify and secure applicable economic development loan programs to support this expansion.
