WILLIAMSBURG — Business soon will be brewing at the former First National Bank building in Williamsburg.
Mike and Brittany Biddle, owners of Biddle’s Brewing, recently purchased the building at 215 High St. The building had been vacant since the bank closed in September 2018.
The Biddles opened their business as a coffee truck in October 2021 and had been looking for a permanent location.
“Our goal is to be open in the early to mid-part of 2023. We are currently tearing out old flooring and equipment and working to build a space that is unique to us and combines various styles, adventures and tastes that we have experienced while traveling,” Brittany Biddle said in an email. “We are really excited to permanently place our roots in Mike’s hometown with hopes to expand into Britt’s hometown (Loretto) next. Community and coffee have been at the forefront of our mission since day one, so it is very exciting to finally see this shaping into a reality for us.”
The Biddles plan to expand the menu to add on more coffee favorites, more tea options and introduce some simple yet fun food items.
“Mike’s mom has been baking for about 30 years, and we are excited to bring her into the business full time and provide for her a space to make even more delicious pastries and dishes for others to enjoy,” Brittany Biddle said. “We are most excited to finally offer a gathering space for our loyal customers and all of our future customers.”
